Before You Die
Before You Die . . .
As the daily routine the Death comes along
Taking toll of those been listed for so long
And so it came to someone next victim on the wait
And then it was just business and neither love nor hate
And the man got amazed to have faced the chilling sight
Because he thought it was the wrong time to go and to be out
Visions of the future and memories of the past
The ventures of his mind were believed to make him last
But there was the herald of the down world at the door
Wrapped in black, a ruthless look and speechless furthermore
And when he waved the man to follow the man stood still and wouldn’t move
The brain about to burst wild no chance for senses to improve
And hardly powered to recover the man exploded into pray
To ask for mercy from the Reaper to put his issue on delay
And that was the doomsday…
The man prone at feet searching looks from outside
And the deadly white scull watching blind from inside
And soon came the word upon the man from his Lord
And it came down on him like the comfort and duly reward
It said do not fear and think of what had been done good
As only that matters and would have been understood
And the whole of man’s life scrolled through his inner sight
And that had got the Lord’s approval and had met with the Lord’s insight
And the man got to know of himself a lot more
And he came to comprehend what it was all for
He‘d been collecting his world for so many years
But then realised it wasn’t worth bitter tears
‘Cause every injury and despair could only be soothed by sincere care
And open heart and straightforward endeavour would make the man’s intention fair
And if employed would make the trouble withdraw from his soul
To bring the clear conscience and illuminated mind to one whole
To appear before the highest judgement for the final verdict
The boss called one of his employees into the office.
"Rob," he said, "you've been with the company for a year. You started off in the post room, one week later you were promoted to a sales position, and one month after that you were promoted to district manager of the sales department. Just four short months later, you were promoted to vice- chairman. Now it's time for me to retire, and I want you to take over the company. What do you say to that?"
"Thanks," said the employee.
"Thanks?" the boss replied. "Is that all you can say?"
"I suppose not," the employee said. "Thanks, Dad."
